March 4, 2014 The Knesset approved in the first hearing on the suggestion for improving the law of the local councils elections to insure women representation among the top three positions in the elections lists.
The suggested law was presented by organizations coalition that consists of 7 feminist organizations, coordinated by WAV in cooperation with 4 Knesset members.
